 Leggett’s Aluminum group is the leading independent producer of non-automotive die castings in North America. Our components are used in a wide range of products across many industries. Major customers include manufacturers of motorcycles, small engines, lighting, appliances, gas barbeque grills, power tools, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and other products that use aluminum, zinc and magnesium die cast components. In addition to die-casting, we offer additional processes such as machining, finishing, and assembly of components and sub-systems. We also provide full service tool and die manufacturing to support our customers’ tooling needs. We work with customers from design concept to market introduction and then through the product lifecycle to continually refine functionality and reduce cost. Key Strategies Market share growth is a major focus. We continue to pursue large users of castings, target customers who currently make their own aluminum components, and look for opportunities to expand into new markets where die cast components are used. We will continue to develop technology that allows opportunities for growth in new markets. Finally, we are committed to establishing a global presence, enabling us to supply customers as they move their production overseas. Acquisitions may play a part in accomplishing these plans.
